Rock's legendary Wessex Studios in Highbury, North London, reopened last week 0 as nine homes.

Once Victorian chapel, which Sir George Martin bought and turned into recording studios in 1965, the building played host to Marianne Faithfull et al. It's where The Sex Pistols recorded Never Mind The Bks and The Clash, London Calling.

The Wessex studios in Islington- where rock luminaries such as U2, REM, Prince, The Clash, David Bowie and the Rolling Stones have recorded albums, and where legend has it Sid Vicious got sick in the piano has had its third re-incarnation as an apartment and mews scheme by a northern Irish developer.

Built as a chapel in 1881 off...
